About Us

Ur Mom Records is an independent, 3 man operation of a record label based in Chicago, IL. We love to focus on making sustainable physical artifacts that create and maintain connections between artists and their communities.

We strive to make opportunities to directly support marginalized folks in our backyard and across the country and give everyone the chance to care like a good mom.

About Our Team

Molly Compton

Molly is a multidisciplinary artist, lathe record cutter, and trash tv connoisseur. They love to bring other artists’ vision to life with interesting packaging and one-of-a-kind creations. They believe that consistent, tangible support in their community is paramount to progress toward liberation for all, and do their part as a board member and volunteer for Clean Air Club.

If you can’t find them on the internet they’re probably convincing someone to run into the Lake with them.

Organization + Systems

Becca is a harbinger of clarity in chaos. She loves to create systems that support artists doing more of what they’re good at, especially when the work benefits their community at large. No project is too big or small for her to bring her all, find the best path forward, and execute the plan. Outside of running point on all things organization here at UMR and helping artists create, Becca helps run and book the Loose Cobra in Tolono, IL, home of the infamous Cobrafest and Okstonerfest.

If she isn’t absolutely crushing her to-do list, she is kicking ur ass in Mariokart.
